sukiyakitaki The first three tracks are pure awesome sauce. This faux soundtrack is as much sports movie as horror film and it is the contrast between these two things that really makes the album stand out as more than just another pseudo-slasher synthwave album.

Of the many great songs on this album, the first cue, Suburbia, is by far my favorite. I could listen to it on repeat and completely lose track of the time. Itโ€™s just perfect for setting the mood and deserves to be heard in a real movie.
Favorite track: Suburb.

FE To this day I still can't get over the fact that there's a truly fantastic cinematic synthwave album out there that also happens to be hockey and horror-themed. Utterly irresistible to this Canadian hockey, horror and electronic music fan. Favorite track: The Aftermatch (Portland Theme).

about

Blood Ice is the first hockey themed slasher soundtrack album of the whole synthwave.

The Plot :

The members of the high school hockey team from a suburb of Portland, Oregon, get slayed during the hockey season by their coach who was a former hockey champion. The evil trainer seek and kill the players who had a bad performance during the season and terrorize the suburb.

The concept of this release was to create a soundtrack to a slasher movie set in 1984. I used only vintage synths VSTs for it like the Roland Jupiter-8, Prophet-5, Yamaha DX7 and Korg Wavestation. For the drums, I used samples of Linn LM-1, TR-808 and Sequencial Circuits Drumtraks.

Before I start composing, I promgramed a few presets to give an exclusive sound to the album, a kind of audio identity.

The album is composed of upbeat sport themes, dramatic themes and scary themes and was very inspired by the old NHL VHS musics.

I hope you will enjoy listen to it like I enjoyed compose it !

Cheers
